Can't place torches on the floor next to other blocks

We can't place a torch on the floor with one or more blocks next to it : the torch is placed on a side of these blocks .

Steps to reproduce :
1- Place a block
2- Try to place a torch next to this block, on the floor
3- The torch is placed on a side of the block
