JVM crash: SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x0000000000000000

I just downloaded the launcher and software from the website. I installed it on a clean pop_os build. When my son tries to start the game he is able to login using his Microsoft credentials. We get the following error:

I saw that there is an error that was logged so I am attaching it for your review. This is an official launcher not modified. Thank you for any assistance that you can provide.
