Inventory not updating the item count after throwing the item on the ground and picking it up

If you throw and item and pick it up the item count will still be a same. Example you have 64 oak logs and you throw 1 out of your inv. then it says that you have 63 logs, but you pick the log back and in your inventory it still says that you have 63 logs.
