Unable to open minecraft, gets stuck at the loading page.

I just bought minecraft yesterday, and it does not open for me. Everytime it reaches about 85% it stops and then does not respond. I've been trying all day and it still doesn't work. I tried restarting, reinstalling and uninstalling but it all doesn't work.
