axolotle buckets from creative mode dont work

in the newest version I wanted to put down an axolotle bucket from the creative inventory and I placed down so many buckets and they should have been different colours but they were all pink then I checked with a spawn egg and they were different so I know its just the bucket I then picked up a axlotle in survival and placed it down and it was correct so its only from creative mode that it happens.
