Entity shadows sometimes render with other textures

After logging in onto a world, I saw my shadow was using the wrong texture. I logged out and back in to see if it was just a temporary glitch, but it appears to not have been fixed. It also appears to affect all mobs

EDIT I logged onto my Hardcore world, and the shadow glitch still persists, so it appears to be a glitch, and not just a world bug. Even after logging onto yet ANOTHER world, the issue still persists.
