Farmer Villagers throw large amounts of food items, affecting performance

The bug

When you give a large amount of food to farmer villagers after a few day cycles they start "throwing up" HUGE amounts of the food given to them to the point where there are tens of thousands of stacks of food dropped in minutes. Expected would be a limit of how many items villagers can throw, and also that villagers do not try to share food when the other villager already has a large amount of food.

Reproduction steps

1. Summon multiple villagers
2. Place beds for the villagers
3. Place composters

   /fill ~ ~ ~ ~5 ~ ~5 minecraft:composter
   

4. Summon a lot of food items; repeat the following command a few times

   /execute at @e[type=villager,distance=..20] run summon item ~ ~ ~ {Item:{id:bread,Count:64b}}
   

   The villagers start throwing large amounts of food items
