Huge fps hit 1.17

so i was playing on 1.16.5 and i had over 200fps constantly but since 1.17 i get like 12 when loading into my world then i cap at like 90 while averaging about 60. i tested this by going into the launcher and making a new 1.16.5 installation and when loading into the same world my fps returned to normal. so since 1.17 i have gone from about 250 to 60 fps
