I can only play version 1.16.5 Optifine

I tried to go onto the newest version (1.17) but it 'Crashed' with exit Code 0 but when I look in my Minecraft folder to get the crash report all that is there is for clients, I was using the Java Edition Minecraft Launcher with isn't a client... 

 So I do have Optifine in my launcher but it works fine, but it's the only thing that works, I just tried to go on a normal 1.16.5 but even that wont work... IDK what to do here

I can't play any later version either, it comes up with the same exit code 0
