Chunks won't load between dimensions, I have to reload the world to see anything.

So, when I load up a world, everything seems to be fine, but then I go to a different dimension, such as the nether, and then all I see is maybe two chunks. I can break blocks and kill people, but the dropped items will just float in the air. The only way I've found that resolves this is Leaving the world and rejoining it. This doesn't happen in any other versions, either. I looked it up and there was nothing about this. I've went through my settings too, and nothing. Please look into this, Thank you!
