Breaking blocks

So every time try to break some coal in a cave, it always lags so that it waits a few seconds thinks about it, and then breaks and its REALLY annoying. So if you can fix that that would be great. And also I put it on java edition, but its happening on all of my platforms like bedrock. Have a great day!
