game access error after version 1.17 part 1 caves and cliffs update

I have been unable to play minecraft on linux using my chromebook Version 90.0.4430.218 (Official Build) (64-bit) in 1.17 part 1 with both the normal version and snapshot.  Whereas 1.16.5 will load without the game saying it crashed.
