Stained glass textures missing

Loaded up a minecraft world from a previous version and all stained glass textures are missing, normal glass still has a texture. Worlds are also considerably laggier.

 

Edit: it seems the textures are being loaded elsewhere in the world instead but then dissapear once you approach them.
