1.17 not working

For some Reason my Minecraft in 1.17 still generates like 1.16. I have all the new blocks and caves but the world only goes down to Y=0 still. lava pools still spawn at y 11 like 1.16 too. Please get to me as quick as possible because I would really like to play 1.17 for real. I have attached a picture of me in spectator mode at bedrock level. Thanks
