If you are falling with leather boots through powder snow, you still fall through

If your in the air and you press space you still fall though the powder snow. I was playing creative when this happened

Reproduce

• Wear some leather boots
• Fall onto powder snow from a high distance
  Notice you fall through the powder snow when you land

Expected Result

You would just land on the powder snow not fall through
