Xp to Xp bottles when opening chests/ placing blocks

So I was walking around my world after updating it to 1.17, and I opened a chest which lead to an XP bottle appearing in my inventory. (there were no bottles previously in my inventory) and each time a opened any chest a new XP bottle appeared in my inventory. I soon then realized that it was converting the Xp from my XP bar thingy into XP bottles. soon, I had 2 STACKS of Xp bottles and no XP in the XP bar (i previously had like 25-30 levels or something near that) not long after that I bred some of my animals and got some XP from that, and after opening a different chest. THAT XP got turned into bottles as well! Edit: while mining I discovered that placing down blocks ALSO gives you these XP bottles!
