Surface feature and ore generation linked

The x/z coordinates of some ore veins can be determined by looking at certain features on the surface, in particular locating diamonds using clay patches in swamps.

1. Create a single biome swamp world (likely applies to most seeds, mine was 4814563589525083356)
2. Bring up the chunk grid F3+G and find the center of a large clay patch
3. Move 2-3 blocks in the positive Z direction. There is likely a diamond vein right below you.
If you crossed a chunk boundary, the vein wrapped around to the other side of the chunk. Verify by either digging or using some form of xray texture pack.

Some sample clay patch vs diamond coords in that seed
Clay: x=7, z=4; Diamond: x=7, z=6  (y=6)
Clay: x=-2, z=0; Diamond: x=-2, z=2  (y=5)
Clay: x=4, z=-15; Diamond: x=4, z=-13  (y=10)
Clay: x=-6, z=-24; Diamond: x=-6, z=-22  (y=5)

Here's a video that digs deeper into this. It was made for 1.16.5, which is the same issue but with different offsets due to version differences: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Icj5TNmBUI

]I could not find an existing issue for this bug even though multiple discussions on the topic claimed a detailed issue exists. If I just missed it and this is closed as a duplicate, that's fine. I just want this resolved so that I don't have players exploiting this to get tons of diamonds.
