Diamond veins generation bug

If you find clay or gravel generation in the lake and start digging straight down 2 blocks away from center of clay or gravel generation to certain direction depending on the biome you will always find diamonds. It should be considered as bug and should be removed because this is not how players should look for diamonds in minecraft.
