Minecraft affecting Laptop and creating issues

• so recently my Minecraft would freeze my laptop up and turns my virus + threat protection off and makes updates give an error so I can't install any windows updates at all and also makes my laptop slower. This never happened until now. But after restarting my computer it's fine. For the virus threat protection it turns it off but when I tried turning it on it wouldn't. It can't be a system problem because my system works fine on other games. Also my computer returns to normal speed when I restart it after (restarting the system)
