Falling on Powder Snow wont give damage but plays sound something fell despite no damage

When falling into powder snow to a height that can kill, you wont take fall damage but the sound Something Fell plays in subtitles or can be heard, in the image provided, Steve fell into powder snow but didn't take any fall damage, despite checking subtitles will show Something Fell, normally Something Fell would result in damage, but a bug would play this sound but not any damage, this is falling into powder snow
