When getting waxed copper by crafting it, you don´t get Wax On advancement

Place a crafting table, put honeycomb and a copper block on it and create a waxed copper block. You will see that you don´t get Wax On advancement, but you do if you apply honeycomb to a copper block placed on the world to turn it into a waxed copper block.
