Rail Placement/Power is not functioning correctly

When placing rails in a circle with straight rails coming off of the curved ones, the result is not...understandable? When all the curved tracks are powered, the result is shown below. However, I believe the game should function that all the curved tracks should face the same direction then all face the other when powered. This is not how it happens in MC 1.6.1. I have also read the patch notes for 1.6.2 and no fix or notice of this bug is there. This may be an intending physic but highly doubt it.
