I cannot play the game

After I create a new world or load a world I get to the 'Saving World' text and the game stops responding. I un-downloaded the one mod I had to see if it would fix it, it didn't. Then I uninstalled Minecraft and reinstalled it to see if that would fix it. That didn't either. Please help, I really wanna play Minecraft.
