Game ended with bad state (exit code -1)

I clicked play and it loaded and minecraft didn't come up. The development console said it had crashed.

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the game to start up and I'd be able to start playing the new updated minecraft.

What actually happened was...:
It finished loading, and the crash report said that the game had crashed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download Minecraft from www.minecraft.net
2. Login to Minecraft
3. Press Play
4. Wait for it to load
5. Check out the development console and what it says
