When i try to play it crashes.

What I expected to happen was...:
that it would let me choose to go and play.

What actually happened was...:
when i went to the download page it didn't let me play and when i clicked play offline it crashed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here
2. I clicked on the download link.
3. Then i clicked on the Minecraft.exe.
4. I clicked run.
5. It showed the Minecraft Launcher.
6. When i click play it says that it crashed.
