Minecraft not launching

When I try to launch Minecraft by clicking 'Play', nothing happens. But when I try to launch it again, it says that the game is already running, but I can't see it. I've tried reinstalling Minecraft, updating my computer, running in compatibility mode but nothing works. If there is anything else I could do to fix this please send me a message.
