Blocks of Amethyst do not drop anything

I know that Budding Blocks of Amethyst are intentionally unobtainable, but the regular blocks of amethyst don't mine either in the current snapshot. Tested this on my survival world and a fresh world, after cheating in the amethyst blocks and pickaxe.
