The crafting recipe variants of some items is not shown

When I opened the recipe book and right clicked the stick image, it showed the variants of the recipe as empty.

 

How to reproduce

1. Open the crafting grid (crafting table or inventory)
2. Open the recipe book and search for the recipe with multiple variants
3. Right click the recipe
4.  The variants are empty, but if you click them, they work.
