I can't enchant

When trying to enchant, I put the item in the left side of the enchantment table, put the lapiz in the right slot and then I cannot select the enchantment. It's in all of my worlds on this version. At first I started with a world from an older version, then i tried on a world created on the 21w10a version and it still didn't work
