Taking Item from Inventory flashes screen rapidly before turning item black

Opening the creative inventory in a new 21w10a world and then taking an item out of it flashes screen rapidly. 

This could be due to the system, but it meets the system requirements so OpenGL 3.2 shouldn't make a difference. A video is attached.
