Text not displayed properly for converted resource pack

I converted the Misa500 texture pack (64x64)into a resource pack. It worked great, until I exited with that pack still linked. When I restarted Minecraft all text did not display correctly. Switch to default resource then back to Misa500 works to reset the text.
If I select the default resource before I exit the game then it will restart correctly.
