when ever i say any thing in the chat it crashes minecraft

when i sent my sentence my hole minecraft crashed
Steps to Reproduce:
1 ... i said hi on the server i play on
2. ...and when i said hi my minecraft full on crashed
3. ... i went on another server and the same thing happened i went on single player too and it happened to
4 ... PLEASE HELP
