new launcher dosnt play game

i cant play the game. i download the launcher. then i login. THEN i click play.
that's where it all goes wrong. it dosnt load the game. it finds something like "URLclassloader(unknown source)" is that my java or is it because i used to have mods? i dont know. im kinda jealous my cousins works it sounds like an AWESOME update.
