low fps

i had set my video settings to minimum for more fps (got around 100 usually)
on this snapshot since the world hight raised and depth lowered; world generation changed; and chunks are deferent. now my fps is 20 usually.
is this a bug or is this intentional? if this was intentional can something change to have higher fps or must people buy graphics cards many cant afford?
