Crafting grid saves items after death

well, I was crafting something in the own crafting place{ I mean not the crafting table } a creeper killed me and when I spawned in my house I had the items that were in the crafting place, even after I died! I will be happy if it won't happen again. Even if it can be a good thing. Thank you if you fixed it, and even if not still Thank you!
