User was logged-out due to password change, then launcher won't launch.

Hi, my 11-year old son was using my Microsoft account to play Minecraft Java edition and when I changed the password, my son was logged-out. Now strangely, although attempting an uninstall/reinstall multiple times, we cannot get the launcher to load. I asked my son to try logging-in through his own Microsoft account and re-purchase the item. Still can't get the launcher to execute, we tried the following:

-Uninstall/repurchase under different account/reinstall MC Java Edition  .

-restart the computer

 

I have now requested a refund of 26.95 USD to Mojang AB  through  Paypal and expect a full refund. Thank you for your attention.
