Marketplace placement?

So I've just gotten Minecraft Java a few weeks ago, and I'm now wondering where the marketplace is? There is the website, but whenever I click the, "Get now" button, it sends me to a white screen with nothing on it. As for Minecraft launcher, there's no marketplace signs anywhere and in java there's no button for shop either.

Is this because I got java instead of window 10, because my device is an windows 10? Must I get the windows 10 version so I could access the marketplace? As well, if an Xbox connection is needed, whenever I try to sign in, it'd take me to the home screen.
