unable to launch Minecraft Java Edition

I was given Minecraft Java Edition as a birthday gift with a Amazon code to download the game, but have been unable to launch it. I have downloaded it, uninstalled and re-downloaded it. Rebooted several times. Removed my firewall and uninstalled malware detectors. Always, the same fault. The opening screen appears on my monitor, but when i double click to start a game, a red box with mojang comes up and the system get stuck approx 95% along the processing bar. I have  waited for 10minutes to overnight for a game to open.

If I force-quit the program, a fault 0 code appears.

Please help or refund my money.
