Levers, buttons paintings and much more not working in 21w05a

I was building a house in a Creative, single biome,  Snowy Tundra world when I saw that paintings would not break, as I was using them in my build.  I got a piston and a lever and tried to break the painting that way, but levers do not flip either.  I tried using a button, the button pressed, but the piston didn't fire and the button would not become "unpressed."  Also, commands do not work at all.  Whats more is that when I created this world (in this version), none of these problems existed.  Whats worse is that when I tried to save and quit the world, it would not save.  I had to shut down the entire computer to stop this.  Please look into this as it makes the game very unplayable.  Thank You
