Several Worlds deleted at random

Several times now I'll be playing on a world, I'll log off Minecraft the same way I always do, and when I log back on my world will be totally gone. I've lost several worlds in this manner and it is extremely frustrating to see days of work go to waste when a world deletes itself without any reason or trace.
