Big dripleaf plants cannot be placed on top of each other

When playing in creative mode, if you place a big dripleaf on land and attempt to make it two blocks tall by placing another big dripleaf on it, it does not let you, but you can still make it taller by bone mealing the top (But you can't make it taller by bone mealing the stem for some reason.)
