Launcher freezes at about 60% and then "minecraft 1.16.5" stopped working

I have run minecraft with no problem under a longer period of time. There was a month or two since i ran it the last time.

4 days ago i tried running minecraft and then the launcher stopped loading at about 60% to then stop answering.

I have reinstalled minecraft and java.

I have updated windows and restarted my computer a couple of times.

I have had minecraft in compatability mode for windows 7 and have ran minecraft as administrator.
