Elytra stops working in mid-air

Currently using regular mc launcher and fabric. Elytra works fine most of the time. Sometimes it stops working mid-air and cant be redeployed. Same issue in multiplayer and singleplayer. It is the same issue as other people have mentioned in earlier versions
