Minecraft not downloading though I purchased it. (Mac and Windows)

Ive purchased Minecraft on my Mac. I was able to download it, play it for a few minuets but then the game crashed and I had to redownload it. Since then I'm not able to open Minecraft, the launcher doesn't work and I don't think its even downloading. I tried downloading it on my PC, but that didn't work either.
