Horse death glitch

I have built a stable for my horses only to find my foals being pushed into walls by their mothers. Many times the foals suffocated to death. I believe this is possibly because of the horse hit-boxes and/or the foals following their mothers too closely. I do not know if the foals are able to be pushed through fences and escaping the stable. Please fix this.
