Gravel glitching out when digging it fast then placing torch under it.

What I expected to happen was...:
Gravel should fall on to the torch and get broken

What actually happened was...

Sometimes it does not fall and get broken.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Find gravel underground
2. Put torches in your off-hand
3. Dig a gravel block (with more gravel-blocks on top of it), then place a torch under it. (it does not happen every time)
