Can't add Impaling V to too expensive

My trident has Impaling IV on it when I try to add Impaling V it tells me too expensive. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?? The trident has channeling, Loyalty III, Unbreaking III, and Mending along with Impaling IV.
