Picking a sign with NBT data doesn't copy the new glow effect

After applying the Glow Ink Sack item to a sign, then using the pick with NBT data option (CTRL+MMB) on it and placing the given sign, the text is no longer glowing.

I believe CTRL+MMB should be able copy the glowing effect.
