Mobs stop moving then game crashes.

Launch Java Ed. Mobs will move, landscape will load, for about 1 minute, then action freezes. Can use tools in/on environment but blocks don't develop ie: dig into soil, block disappears but no block is recorded in inventory or visable. Also eating cooked food such as a pork chop is infinite and has no effect. Map doesn't record movement.
