Minecraft default resource pack corruption/incompatibility

Minecraft's default resource pack shows up as "Incompatible (Made for a newer version of Minecraft)" when hovered over in the resource pack menu in 1.16.1, and maybe other versions. Resource pack shows glitched textures on certain entities. Has been noticed on certain villagers, wither skeletons, and turtles.
